• Dr. Charles J. Ruff is a Specialist in the field of Orthodontics! That means he graduated at the top of his class in dental school in order to qualify for orthodontic specialty training.  Orthodontics involves two more years of schooling after dental school – that's 4000 hours of additional schooling beyond dental school.

• Many parents and adult patients know that we are in a technology revolution and want to be sure they are in an office that uses the latest techniques.  Rest assured!  Not only has Dr. Ruff been a lifelong learner in the art and science of orthodontics but he has been teaching orthodontic students for the last fifteen years, first at Harvard and now at Tufts where he is an assistant professor.  Where do students learn the new techniques?  From up to date faculty!

What's Modern: No More Headgear!

• We gave up headgear years ago!  Modern orthodontic technique does not require the use of a headgear in the vast majority of cases.  We also emphasize fixed retainers at the end of treatment to maximize the longevity of your smile without wearing those ugly pieces of pink plastic 24 hours per day.
