Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age and adults especially can  appreciate that a beautiful smile is also a healthy smile. Approximately 20% of our practice are adults. Many adults can achieve excellent results in less than 18 months and some in less than 12. This is because there have been some real advances recently in orthodontic technology and we utilize all those advances in providing optimal treatment to our patients. We are very proud of the fact that Dr. Ruff was the first orthodontist in Maine certified to use the Invisalign system and the first to use the Incognito (lingual) system. We love our adult patients and want to provide them with the best treatment in the shortest time span!
