Sarah
Treatment Coordinator
Hi! My name is Sarah and I am the treatment coordinator for Dr. Ruff. I'm from Waterville originally, but attended Sweet Briar College in Virginia. I received bachelor degrees in Spanish and Biology. After living in southern Spain I have moved back to Maine. It's been great living closer to my friends and family.
The best part about working in the orthodontic field is developing great relationships with patients and their parents. I love talking with our patients and getting to know them. As the treatment coordinator, it is my job to make sure the patient and parent feels comfortable with the office and understands their treatment choices. The people here at Dr. Ruff's are such a special group and I feel very fortunate to be a member of the team. They make coming to work everyday a great experience!
When I am not at the office, I really like to spend my free time with my family and friends, walking my poodle Joy, traveling or reading a good book.
Vicky
Account Administrator
I'm Vicky, and I've been a part of Dr. Ruff's team since 2007. You'll see me at the front desk with Brenda. One of my primary responsibilities is to work with you to develop a flexible payment plan so you are comfortable with your orthodontic investment. I'll also help to schedule your appointments while you're in treatment. I enjoy the interaction with patients and their families and the relationships that develop over their treatment period. I spend my free time with my three kids, Kegan, Kassadi and Karsten. All of whom are very involved in sports. Maybe you'll see me cheering for them at one of their games!

Darlene
Certified Orthodontic Assistant/Invisalign Coordinator
My name is Darlene and I've been in the orthodontic field since 1989. I started at Dr. Ruff's office in 2004 when I moved to Winslow. I will be the person working with Sarah to help make your first visit to our office a positive and fun experience. Making patients feel welcomed and comfortable are my #1 priority. I am also the Invisalign coordinator, which means I will be working closely with you and Dr. Ruff throughout your treatment if you choose Invisalign as a mode of treatment. I absolutely love to make patients feel excited about coming to our practice. Be sure to ask me about our Ruff Bucks! When I'm not at work I spend my time with my husband Shawn, and our three daughters, Leah, Stephanie and Sasha and our golden retriever Deuce.

The past 27 years have been very rewarding for me to be able to work with a wonderful team to create great smiles and help patients gain more self-confidence. My husband Dawson and I have two terrific children, which have had orthodontic treatment with Dr. Ruff! Andrea had jaw surgery and Christopher just recently completed Invisalign treatment. They Both were recently married. It was wonderful to see their beautiful smiles on their wedding day!
Freda
Orthodontic Assistant
My name is Freda. I am the latest to join Dr. Ruff's team. It is an honor for me to be a part of such a great group of professionals. I was a patient of Dr. Ruffs many years ago and I am proud to be creating beautiful life changing smiles! When I am not working I am spending time with my daughter Camy.
Kim
Certified Orthodontic Assistant/Clinical Coordinator
I attended Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, where I graduated from the dental assisting program in 1987. I have worked for Dr. Ruff ever since. I enjoy working with such a great team who work very hard with patients to create beautiful new smiles. I truly enjoy getting to know our patients during their time in braces. They become like family and it is hard to see them leave when treatment is done. Nothing compares to the day the braces come off when we all get to see the excitement in the patient's face when they see their new smile for the first time. I am thankful to have a boss who encourages us to attend continuing education courses, which allow us to constantly improve and learn more about the exciting changes in the world of dentistry. When I am not at work I enjoy traveling and golfing with my husband, Lenny.
Sara
Orthodontic Assistant
Hi! I'm Sara, I attended the dental assisting program in Bangor in 2003 and did my internship with Dr. Ruff. The experience was so fabulous I was offered an assisting position and I've enjoyed being a part of the team ever since. I love all aspects of working in the orthodontic field, and what I love the most is seeing patients grow throughout their treatment and to know I was part of creating that beautiful smile. When I'm not at the office I'm home having tons of fun with my son Lincoln and daughter Harmony.
