OUCH! Broken wire
My mom called at 8am and we were seen at 11:00am. The broken wire was repaired and I was able to go back to class. Everyone was very nice and wanted to be sure that I was not in pain when I left.

A+ for Dr. Ruff and Staff
I love Dr. Ruff and his staff. They are so professional and friendly. They always explain everything to me as they go along and I always leave knowing what I have to do between visits and what they plan to achieve during the next appointment. The facility is always very clean and attractive to the eye. They always have activities, like contests, going on for clients to win excellent prizes. And if you're like me and wear your Dr. Ruff shirt and make it to all appointments on time you get Ruff Bucks to spend on gift certificates to nice places. I rate Dr. Ruff, the staff and the facility with an A+.

Great for parents and children
Dr. Ruff and his staff did a phenomenal job of creating a friendly, non-scary atmosphere for a child. They were great at explaining everything to both our 7 year old daughter in ways that she could understand, as well as answering all questions that we had. We left feeling much better informed about her dental development than we had ever felt before.

All Smiles!
My ten year old daughter just had her braces put on three weeks ago and was very excited. Dr. Ruff and all of the staff have made this such a great experience for not only her, but myself. Its always a pleasure going to the appointments and very kid friendly. Who knew orthodontic treatment could be so fun?!!! Very satisfied :-)

Great crew!
The crew at Dr Ruff's is so friendly and outgoing, they make it so nice to go in. Very professional and courteous and a pleasure to work with. I got my braces there and now my daughters are going.

First Visit

I am always impressed with the staff at Dr. Ruff's office. They are very friendly and helpful. My family would not go anywhere else and I always recommend Dr. Ruff for anyone needing ortho treatment. His staff makes it much easier to deal with every aspect of the process.

Our Family Experience is always wonderful!!
I have had the unfortunate opportunity of visiting many hospitals, Dr. Offices, Dentists, etc. in my lifetime; however, it is fortunate for my family to have Dr. Ruff and his staff involved in the treatment for my daughter. She is a very nervous child who has experienced some problems during her treatment. The staff here has gone above and beyond the normal to make sure that she has experienced a minimum of pain. Meeting with us after hours, weekends, etc. I am amazed that Dr. Ruff and his entire staff have shown so much care and compassion for my daughter. With all the extra time and effort they have put in to make my daughter comfortable with her treatment, they have never once asked for more money to take special care of her. Thank you all with all my heart, my daughter's teeth are looking more beautiful every day and not once has she asked not to have to go back!! That is a small miracle for our family... especially considering the not so great experiences that I have had in the past. This is the best!

Love to Smile
Dr Ruff has been working on my smile for many years now. I am missing 4 of my permanent teeth and we are lining things up so that I can eventually get implants. I used to hide my teeth when I smiled but now, even though there is still a lot of work to be done, I smile big. Thanks Dr. Ruff and staff for helping me look my very best! I know that when we are done, my teeth will finally be perfect!

Great People
Having braces are a cost that most have a hard time to swallow, but we do it for our children and ourselves. You only get one set of teeth and you need to take care of them. On my first visit with Sarah, I left without any questions unanswered. The treatment plan was well explained along with the benefits and my financial obligation was decided on what would best work for me. The office is very family friendly. I can bring my daughter and wait in the car with no worries. During my last visit Kendrah had a issue with her brackets. Instead of telling her what to tell me Dr. Ruff had me come inside and he explained what had happened and how we can avoid it in the future. Kendrah needed to have a different mouthgard that would not put pressure on her brackets. Brenda, Vicky, and Freda helped to pick the best one before I left. They brought out a sample to show me and told me right where I could go and get it. I went directly from there to the store and bought it. Kendrah played a soccer game that night and came home saying how much better her mouth felt. Thank you ladies!! A few months ago I shared with Brenda, Vicky and Sara that I had won an award for the past couple of years at work. They took a picture of me with Kendrah and put it on the web. Just a little praise once in a while makes your day and they made my day! When Kendrah first started her treatment she had a couple of difficulties. The roof of Kendrah's mouth was swollen very badly over her crossbow. Dr. Ruff called me back withing 15 minutes and met me at his office within an hour!! Where can you go to any other professional and get that type of service, respect, and caring people to help you? At Dr. Ruffs office!! I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Ruff and his complete staff to anyone! Thank you all for all that you do!!!

Looking for a very warm and friendly orthodontist office, look no further!
The first time we walked into the office we felt very welcomed and that the staff was excited to meet me and my son. He was very relaxed with the staff. The office is very bright and cheerful. All the staff is real good at explaining their role and what to expect. Dr. Ruff and his assistants are very good at explaining what they are about to do and provide adequate information to let you make the right decision. The Ruff Bucks are a great motivater for my son. I can not say enough about how great the office is from top to bottom.

Amazing
The entire staff at Dr. Ruff's office is outstanding. Customer service and satisfaction are their priority and it shows with every interaction. My family has been seeing Dr. Ruff for a few years and we have always had exceptional service. Everyone always takes the time to explain treatments and they listen to each patient and make treatments work for you. I can't say enough great things about them. You cannot get any better than Dr. Ruff's!
Getting braces with Dr. Ruff's office is actually so FUN that my younger child could not wait until it was his turn! My older son is nearly finished with treatment and his teeth are gorgeous. This is NOT the orthodontics I experienced in the "bad old days". Dr. Ruff's skill and experience, his entire staff of warm, friendly, upbeat professionals, and the extensive use of technology and communications was beyond my expectations by a long shot. Do not go anywhere else if you can possibly go to Dr. Ruff!

2 daughters very pleased
Our family has been treated in Dr. Ruff's practice for about 4 years. Both of our daughters love the medical staff and they way they are treated during visits. The staff clearly explains all treatments and future plans. Brenda does an excellent job and is very helpful with the scheduling. I always recommend Dr. Ruff's practice to friends of the family.

Comfortable atmosphere and outstanding service
My daughter was on edge going to her first appointment. Once we got there, the staff were so approachable and friendly. They really set her at ease. Creative Scheduling
Dr. Ruff and his staff have gone above and beyond in working with my teenage children who attend a boarding school in northern Maine. With limited time at home in which to schedule, Dr. Ruff took personal time prior to his vacation to see my son. Dr. Ruff provides not only professional service and results but is willing to meet the individual needs of his patients.

Very Nice Experience
My daughter went to your office for the first time last week. She was so excited after we got there and was very comfortable with the staff. Outstanding Office!
Our 8 year old had an appointment for just an evaluation, and from the moment we walked into the lobby and seeing his name on the wall welcoming him as a new patient, to meeting with Dr. Ruff, I would have to say this was the nicest office I had ever been to! The staff was so very helpful and concerned about our son's treatment that my husband and I left wishing that WE were patients!! Truly exceptional service!!!

Dr. Ruff and his staff put my tentative and nervous daughter at ease!!
My daughter is terrified of going to the dentist. She will cry and try her darndest to avoid it at all costs. So of course, she was just as nervous to see the orthodontist. Everyone was so friendly when we arrived, especially Sarah, who put Abby right at ease with her pleasant demeanor. Abby doesn't need braces right away, so she joined the Smiles4ME Kids Club. When her membership card arrived in the mail she was so excited she actually asked me when her next appointment was and was quite disappointed that she didn't need to be seen for a while!!!

Very Understanding
My son and daughter have both had orthodontic treatments with Dr. Ruff's office. Everyone has always been pleasant. We live an hour from Waterville, so the office has been very understanding with fuel prices rising by scheduling most appointments in their Skowhegan office. The staff is very patient and gentle (mostly considering the job) with my children. All my questions have been answered thoroughly. This is an expensive process and Dr. Ruff has worked out a payment plan so that we have been able to afford the treatment.

Childrens first consultation
My son recently had his first consultation at your office and he honestly hasn't stopped talking about it. He was treated so well and he can't wait to go back. He came home after his first appointment with his folder and seriously told me everything that I had missed because his father took him. He was asking his sister who currently also goes to your office for her Ruff bucks and collected any he could find. I laughed and told him that he's only been to 1 appointment I think they would wonder how you already have enough for a prize. He just got his kids member packet in the mail yesterday and he called me right up at work to tell me. He couldn't wait for me to come home so he could show me. And the Ruff bucks has definitely got him excited. He wears his shirt proud and someone was nice enough to think of his little brother who was with him at the appointment and also gave him one. Thank you so much! I definitely would recommend your office!

Dr. Ruff ROCKS
We love Dr. Ruff and his staff. They are always pleasant and willing to work with you. They take time to answer questions and really seem to care. I, as a parent, can say my kids teeth are beautiful. Dr. Ruff saved my child from debilitating migraines, other doctors wanted to put him on powerful meds. Dr. Ruff said give him 6 months and he would get my son's headaches under control. He did it! My son is now 23 and headache free and has beautiful teeth as well......Dr. Ruff is up on the latest information. My kids all really liked him and loved all the fun contests and prizes too. You Rock Dr. Ruff!!

Happy Mom!
Everyone at the office is friendly and helpful. We received great information and everything was explained so well that even my 8-year-old clearly understood what was going to happen. He was completely put at ease about everything and loves coming in to see everyone (and earning his Ruff bucks!). The incentives you have for the kids are great too! You have turned a sometimes not so great thing into something that can be a more fun experience. Thanks!

Getting Braces on
Dr. Ruffs Office is a great place. Jordan had a great experience. She was nervous before getting her braces on but everybody put her at ease. I was surprised how quickly they were put on. I very pleased with the staff.

New Braces
Emily got her braces on Thursday, June 2nd. The entire process went very smoothly. Instructions were very well explained by Kim - she gets a gold star!
